Train
From Budapest, head to Keleti Pályaudvar (Eastern Railway Station). You can take the M2 (Red) metro line to reach Keleti. Once at the station, buy a ticket for Esztergom (make sure to validate it before boarding). Trains to Esztergom usually run every hour. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival at the Esztergom train station, exit the station and walk straight for about 10 minutes towards Szent István tér. The Basilica of Esztergom will be on your left.

Bus
From Budapest, take the bus from the Népliget Bus Station. You can reach Népliget by taking the M3 (Blue) metro line to Népliget station. Once at the bus station, find the bus to Esztergom. Buses typically run every hour, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. After arriving at Esztergom bus station, exit and walk for about 15 minutes towards Szent István tér. The Basilica of Esztergom will be in front of you.

Boat
For a scenic route, take a boat from Budapest to Esztergom. Head to the Vigadó Square near the Danube River and find the boat terminal. Check the schedule for boats going to Esztergom, as they usually operate seasonally and on weekends. The boat ride will take around 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Esztergom, walk towards Szent István tér for about 10 minutes, where the Basilica of Esztergom is located.
