If you are starting from the city center, take Metro Line M2 (the red line) from Deák Ferenc tér station towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the Déli pályaudvar station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards the Buda Castle District.

Funicular
From the Déli pályaudvar station, head towards the Buda Castle Funicular (Libegő). You can ride the funicular to the top of the hill, which will drop you near the Buda Castle. The funicular station is clearly marked and the ride offers beautiful views of the city.

Walking
After exiting the funicular, walk towards the Buda Castle complex. Follow the path that leads you around the castle grounds. Look for signs pointing towards the Alagút (Tunnel) which is located near the castle. The tunnel entrance is located on Alagút street (Alagút utca).

Public Bus
Alternatively, from the Déli pályaudvar station, you can take bus number 16 or 16A. The bus will take you directly to the Buda Castle area. Get off at the 'Szentháromság tér' stop, then walk to the entrance of the tunnel located on Alagút street.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing
If you prefer a quicker option, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Bolt or Uber. Simply enter 'Budai Castle Tunnel' or 'Alagút utca, 1012 Budapest' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the tunnel.
