If you are in the heart of the Castle District, start by heading towards the Fisherman’s Bastion, which is a well-known landmark. From the Bastion, walk down Hunyadi János út towards the main road, Szentháromság utca. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Úri utca. Turn left onto Úri utca and then take a right onto Tóth Árpád sétány. Follow this path until you reach the Vajdahunyad street. The Gatehouse Tower is located at the end of this street, approximately a 15-minute walk from the Fisherman's Bastion.

For a quicker route, you can take a bus from the Castle District. Walk to the bus stop at Clark Ádám tér, which is near the Chain Bridge. From there, take bus number 16 heading towards the 'Deák Ferenc tér'. Get off at the 'Vajdahunyad street' stop. From the bus stop, walk a short distance along Vajdahunyad street until you reach the Gatehouse Tower. This option takes about 20 minutes in total including the bus ride.
