If you are near the city center, take Tram Line 4 or 6 from any stop along the route. Head towards the 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér' stop. Once you arrive at Móricz Zsigmond körtér, transfer to Tram Line 19 towards 'Kelenföld vasútállomás'. Get off at the 'Gellért Hill' stop, which is the closest tram stop to the hill.

From the 'Gellért Hill' tram stop, head towards the Gellért Hotel. Walk past the hotel and follow the path leading up the hill. You will see signs directing you towards the Gellért Hill Cave. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and the path is well-marked.

Public Transport - Bus
Alternatively, you can take Bus 27 from 'Kelenföld vasútállomás' or 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér' towards 'Szent Gellért rkp.' Get off at the 'Szent Gellért rkp.' bus stop. From there, walk towards the Gellért Hill Cave, which is a short distance away and clearly signposted.

Combination of Walking and Funicular
You can also reach Gellért Hill Cave by taking the funicular. Start at the Buda side of the Chain Bridge and walk to the Funicular Station (Budavári Sikló). Take the funicular to the top, and then follow the paths that lead to the Gellért Hill Cave. This option offers a scenic view of the city.
