Stunning Sights Along the Danube. Get in the Queue Well Before Your Departure Time to Secure a Good Seat on the Boat

The nighttime sightseeing cruise offered by Legenda City Cruises provided exactly what we were hoping to experience. The cruise lasts just over an hour. It leaves from its pier near Vigado Square and travels south well past the Liberty Bridge before turning around and heading north to just past the Hungarian Parliament Building before turning around again and heading back to the pier. The buildings illuminated at night were stunning. The A free drink is included and there are headphones at each seat proving a narration of the sights in many different languages. The boat is huge and accommodates several hundred people on both the upper and lower deck. However, we arrived about 15 minutes before our cruise and were practically the last to board. The entire top deck which offers the best views was a full as were all the seats along each side of the lower deck. We had to settle for a seat in the middle which was okay for most of the cruise. I was still able to get some great photos by simply getting up occasionally from my seat and standing in the back of the boat which offered unobstructed views of the sights along the river. The lesson to share is to arrive well before your departure time and join the queue.
