Metro
To reach Margaret Island, start by finding the nearest metro station. If you are near the city center, take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) from Deák Ferenc Square station towards Mexikói út. Get off at the Arany János street station. Transfer to Metro Line 2 (the red line) and head towards Örs vezér tere. Get off at the Széchenyi fürdő station. From there, you can either walk to the northern entrance of Margaret Island or take a tram.
Tram
If you prefer the tram, after reaching Széchenyi fürdő station, walk to the tram stop located nearby. Take Tram Line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér and get off at the Margit híd - Budai hídfő stop. From here, you can cross the Margaret Bridge to enter Margaret Island.
Bus
You can also take a bus to reach Margaret Island. Find a nearby bus stop and take Bus 26 towards Törökőr. Get off at the Margit híd - Budai hídfő stop, and just walk across the bridge to the island.
Walking
If you are close enough, consider walking to Margaret Island. From the city center, head toward the Danube River and stroll along the riverside. Follow the signs towards the Margaret Bridge, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Margaret Island.
Bicycle
For a more active option, rent a bicycle from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Budapest. Ride towards the Danube, following the riverside bike paths to reach Margaret Bridge. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself on Margaret Island.
