If you are near the city center, take Metro Line 3 (blue line) towards Újpest-Központ. You will need to get off at the 'Nyugati pályaudvar' station, which is the stop for Nyugati pu. After exiting the metro, follow the signs leading to the train station. The station will be directly in front of you.
Tram
You can also take Tram Line 4 or 6. If you are near the city center, board the tram at any stop along the route heading towards the direction of Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the 'Nyugati pályaudvar' stop. Once you exit the tram, you will see the train station ahead.
Walking
If you are staying in the nearby area such as the West End City Center, you can walk to Nyugati pu. Head towards Váci út and walk straight to the intersection with Nyugati tér. The station is located at the end of this road. It should take you about 10-15 minutes on foot.
Bus
You can take Bus Line 79 or 23. If you are near the city center, board the bus at any stop along the route heading towards Nyugati pályaudvar. Get off at the 'Nyugati pályaudvar' stop. The train station will be directly in front of you as you exit the bus.
