Getting There

Walking
If you are already in the Castle District, make your way to Szentháromság tér. From the Matthias Church, which is a prominent landmark, head towards the square directly in front of it. Fisherman's Bastion is located directly adjacent to this square. You will see the stunning white structure of the Bastion rising above you, and it is an easy walk of about 5 minutes from the church.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you are further away in the Castle District, you can take bus number 16 from various stops, such as the Clark Ádám Tér or the Batthyány Tér. Board the bus and ride for about 5-10 minutes, depending on your starting point. Disembark at the final stop, which is the Szentháromság tér. From there, Fisherman's Bastion is a short 2-minute walk. Make sure you have a valid ticket; a single ticket costs 350 HUF.

You can also reach the Castle District using the funicular railway from the Chain Bridge area. Ride the funicular up to Buda Castle and then walk approximately 10 minutes to Fisherman's Bastion.
