Walking
If you are near the Gellért Baths or the Gellért Hill cave church, head towards the main path leading up Gellért Hill. Follow the path marked with signs for Citadella and Kilátóterasz. As you ascend, you will pass through lush greenery and may encounter a few steep sections. Continue walking until you reach a fork in the path. Take the left path that leads directly to the Citadella area.

Once you reach the Citadella, you will see the large Liberty Statue. From this point, continue walking along the path leading to the Kilátóterasz observation deck. It is a short walk, approximately 5 minutes from the Citadella. Look for directional signs that will guide you straight to Kilátóterasz, which offers stunning views over Budapest.

Public Transport
If you prefer to start your journey from a different part of Budapest, take tram line 19 from Széll Kálmán tér (a major transport hub) towards Kelenföld vasútállomás. Get off at the Gellért Hill stop. From there, follow the pedestrian signs towards Gellért Hill, which will lead you to the paths going up to Kilátóterasz. The tram ride costs approximately 350 HUF.
