Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the central area of Duna-Ipoly National Park. Head towards the town of Gárdony by following the signs to Route 7 (E71). Continue southeast on Route 7 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Gárdony. Once in Gárdony, navigate to the address Külterület, 2483. The Velence and Dinnyés Nature Conservation Area will be on your right as you approach the outskirts of Gárdony. Parking is available near the entrance of the nature conservation area.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Velence and Dinnyés Nature Conservation Area using public transportation, first take a train from any station within Duna-Ipoly National Park to Székesfehérvár. From Székesfehérvár, transfer to a local bus heading towards Gárdony (bus number 8 or 12). The bus will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Gárdony Külterület.' From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Velence and Dinnyés Nature Conservation Area. Please check the local bus schedule for exact timings as they may vary. A train ticket may cost around 1,000 HUF and a bus ticket around 500 HUF.
