Getting There

• Bus

  From Eger, head to the Eger Bus Station (Eger Autóbusz-állomás). You can reach the bus station by walking from central Eger or taking a local tram or taxi if you prefer. At the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Répáshuta, the closest town to Bükki National Park. Buses to Répáshuta run regularly, so check the schedule for the next available departure. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Répáshuta, you can either walk to the park entrance or use a local taxi service if you have heavy luggage or prefer not to walk.

• Train and Bus

  Begin your journey at Eger Train Station (Eger Vasútállomás). Take a train towards Miskolc, which typically leaves every hour. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Miskolc-Tiszai station. From there, head to the bus station located nearby. Look for a bus that goes to Répáshuta. This bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Répáshuta, you can walk or take a taxi to the entrance of Bükki National Park.

• Walking and Local Transport

  If you enjoy walking and are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Eger to Bükki National Park. The park is approximately 20 km from Eger. Start by taking the road towards Répáshuta. You can follow the local trails and paths, which offer beautiful scenery along the way. However, this option is best for experienced hikers and those prepared for a long trek. Be sure to bring water and snacks, and consider starting early in the day.
