Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Tihany from any location around Lake Balaton. The most common route is via Route 71. Once you are on Route 71, follow the signs to Tihany. As you approach Tihany, look for signs directing you towards the Tihanyi Bencés Apátság. Once in Tihany, drive to I. András tér 1. There is parking available nearby, but it can get busy during peak tourist season, so arrive early if possible. Note that parking may incur a fee, depending on the location.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Tihany Bencés Apátság via public transportation, take a bus to Tihany from major towns around Lake Balaton, such as Balatonfüred or Keszthely.
