Getting There

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Salgótarján city center, head to the Salgótarján bus station, located at Vörösmarty utca 2. Take bus number 4 towards Bánkút. This route operates approximately every hour. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Hollókő, Vár parkoló' bus stop, which is adjacent to the parking area for Hollókő Castle. From the bus stop, follow the signs leading to the castle, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

    If you are in the heart of Salgótarján, you can also walk to the bus station to catch bus number 4. From the city center, it’s about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Kossuth Lajos utca, then turn right on Vörösmarty utca. The bus station will be on your left. After arriving at 'Hollókő, Vár parkoló', follow the trail signs that lead you to Hollókő Castle, which is a scenic 15-minute hike uphill.
