Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Tihany, which is located about 30 kilometers from the city of Kaposvár in Somogy County. From Kaposvár, take the Route 67 road towards Balatonfüred. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach the town of Balatonfüred. Continue straight on the Route 71 road towards Tihany. Once you arrive in Tihany, follow the signs to the Kiserdő Summit. There is a designated parking area near the summit; parking fees may apply, so keep some coins ready.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Kiserdő Summit using public transportation, start by taking a train from Kaposvár to Balatonfüred. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Balatonfüred train station, you can take a local bus (Bus No. 7) heading towards Tihany. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Tihany, Belső-tó' stop. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to Kiserdő Summit. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking to Kiserdő Summit. You can rent a bicycle in Balatonfüred and follow the designated bike routes towards Tihany. The cycle path is scenic and takes you through beautiful countryside. The distance from Balatonfüred to Kiserdő Summit is about 8 kilometers. Make sure to wear a helmet and carry water, as there are some uphill sections.

• Walking

  For those staying in Tihany or nearby accommodations, you can simply walk to Kiserdő Summit. The summit is approximately 3 kilometers from the main square in Tihany. Follow the marked walking paths that lead you through the picturesque area, allowing you to enjoy the local scenery. The walk will take about 40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes.
