If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards Hódmezővásárhely. From Szeged, take the M5 motorway towards Hódmezővásárhely and exit at the Hódmezővásárhely exit. Follow the signs to the city center, and then navigate to Tisza backwater Nature Trail located at coordinates (46.4632048, 20.2118571). There is parking available near the trail entrance.

To reach Tisza backwater Nature Trail using public transport, take a train from Szeged to Hódmezővásárhely. Trains are available regularly, and the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Hódmezővásárhely train station, you can take a local bus (Bus number 2 or 3) that goes towards the Nature Trail. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as they may not run frequently, especially on weekends. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of the Nature Trail.

For the more adventurous, cycling to Tisza backwater Nature Trail is also an option. If you are in Hódmezővásárhely, rent a bicycle and follow the designated bike paths. The trail is about 5-6 km from the city center and is easily accessible by bicycle. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way!
