Car
If you're driving from central Transdanubia, take the M1 motorway towards Budapest. After approximately 70 km, merge onto the M7 motorway. Continue for about 30 km and take the exit for Budaörs. Follow signs for the city center and merge onto the Hűvösvölgyi Road. Drive until you reach Széll Kálmán tér (Szell Kálmán Square). Parking is available in nearby garages, but be aware of parking fees that can range from 300 to 600 HUF per hour.
Public Transportation
From various locations in Transdanubia, you can take a train to Budapest. Look for trains heading to Budapest-Déli station. Once you arrive at the station, exit and head to the tram stop outside. Take tram line 61 or 17 towards Széll Kálmán tér. The tram ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. The tickets cost around 350 HUF each. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding.
Bus
If you're in the vicinity of Transdanubia, check for regional bus services heading to Budapest. Buses to Budapest typically arrive at various terminals, including Népliget or Kelenföld. From there, take metro line M4 towards Keleti Pályaudvar and transfer at the 'Kelenföld' station to tram line 61 or 17, which will take you directly to Széll Kálmán tér. The bus fare is approximately 2,000 HUF, and metro/tram tickets are around 350 HUF.
