Experience Basilica of Esztergom

Getting There

  • Train

    Start your journey at the Vác train station (Váci pályaudvar). Purchase a ticket to Esztergom from the ticket counter or the ticket machine. Trains run approximately every hour. Board the train heading towards Esztergom. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Esztergom train station, exit the station and head straight ahead on the main road.

    From Esztergom train station, continue walking down the main road (Mária Valéria híd) towards the city center. Follow the signs to the Basilica of Esztergom, which should take approximately 20 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way, and the Basilica will be visible from a distance as you approach Szent István tér.
