Train
From Vac, head to the Vac train station (Váci állomás). You can walk there from the city center in about 10 minutes. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Budapest Nyugati station. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Budapest Nyugati, exit the station and head towards the tram stop located outside the station.
Tram
At the tram stop outside Nyugati station, take tram number 4 or 6. Both trams will take you to the Oktogon stop. The ride will take around 10 minutes. At Oktogon, transfer to tram number 1 (the yellow tram) towards the direction of 'Közvágóhíd'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Széchenyi fürdő' stop, which is close to the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden.
Walking
From the 'Széchenyi fürdő' tram stop, walk towards the entrance of the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. Continue past the baths, and you will find the entrance to the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden at Állatkerti krt. 6-12. The zoo is just a short 5-minute walk from the tram stop.
