Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Vác, head towards the Váci Church (Váci Székesegyház) which is a well-known landmark. From there, walk straight along the main street, Kossuth Lajos utca, for about 10 minutes until you reach the Vác Train Station (Váci Vasútállomás). Once at the train station, take a train heading to Budapest. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

At Váci Train Station, purchase a ticket for Budapest. Make sure to board a train that stops at Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station) or Keleti Pályaudvar (Eastern Railway Station). Once you arrive at your selected station in Budapest, exit the train and follow the signs for public transport.

Public Transport
From Nyugati Pályaudvar, take Metro Line 3 (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. You will need to change at Deák Ferenc tér for Metro Line 2 (red line). Board the train towards Örs vezér tere and get off at the next stop, which is Hunyadi tér. If you arrive at Keleti Pályaudvar, take Tram Line 4 or 6 from the station to the Nyugati Pályaudvar and then follow the same instructions as above. Hunyadi tér will be just a short walk from the tram stop.
