From Vac, head to the Vac train station, which is located at the center of the town. You can walk there in about 10 minutes from most central locations. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Budapest. Trains to Budapest depart frequently. Board the train that takes you to Nyugati pályaudvar, which is one of the main train stations in Budapest. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes.

After arriving at Nyugati pályaudvar in Budapest, exit the train station and look for the metro entrance located just outside. You will want to take Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Ride the metro for 3 stops and get off at Deák Ferenc tér. From Deák Ferenc tér, switch to Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér and get off at the next stop, which is Oktogon. From Oktogon, it's a 10-minute walk to the Zoltán Kodály Memorial Museum at Andrássy út 87-89.
