Walking
From the center of Vác, head south towards the Váci Main Square (Váci Fő tér). Once you reach the square, look for the pedestrian street that leads towards the Danube river. Continue walking straight until you reach the riverside. From there, you can take a scenic stroll along the riverbank heading south. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Váci Train Station (Váci Vasútállomás). Take a train towards Budapest. Once you arrive at Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station) in Budapest, exit the station and head towards the Oktogon square. From Oktogon, walk towards the Andrássy Avenue (Andrássy út) and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Grand Boulevard (Nagykörút). Turn right onto Grand Boulevard and continue until you reach the intersection with Szent István körút. The George Washington Statue is located in the park at this intersection.
Public Transport
Start your journey at Váci Main Square (Váci Fő tér). From there, take bus number 2 towards the Váci Train Station (Váci Vasútállomás). Upon arriving at the station, board a train heading to Budapest. Disembark at Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). Upon exiting, locate the nearest tram station and take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the Oktogon stop, and from there, walk towards Andrássy Avenue (Andrássy út). Continue walking straight until you reach the Grand Boulevard (Nagykörút), then turn right. After a short walk, you will find the George Washington Statue in the park at the intersection with Szent István körút.
