If you're traveling by car, make your way to Sopron, where the Central Mining Museum is located at Templom u. 2. From Budapest, take the M1 highway towards Győr, then follow the signs for Sopron (M85). Once in Sopron, follow local signs to the city center. Templom u. is a main street; you can find parking in nearby lots (some may charge a fee). The museum is within walking distance from most central parking areas.

To reach Sopron via train, take a train from Budapest to Sopron. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 2-2.5 hours. Upon arrival at Sopron train station, you can either walk to the museum (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a local bus (bus line 1 or 5) towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Templom u.' which is a short walk from the museum.
