Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Visegrád, which is about 30 km from Szombathely. Take Route 76 towards Zalaegerszeg and then connect to Route 7. Continue on Route 7 until you reach the turn-off for Visegrád. Follow the signs for Visegrád city center. Once in Visegrád, look for signs leading to Zsitvay-kilátó. There is a parking area near the base of the hill where the viewpoint is located. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around 500 HUF.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a train or bus to Visegrád. From Budapest, you can take a train to Visegrád. Once you arrive at the Visegrád train station, you can take a local bus (Bus 870) that goes to the Zsitvay-kilátó area. The bus ride is approximately 20 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as it may vary, especially on weekends. The bus fare is around 400 HUF. After getting off the bus, follow the signs for a short walk to reach the viewpoint.

Hiking
For the more adventurous, you can also hike to Zsitvay-kilátó. From the center of Visegrád, there are marked hiking trails leading to the viewpoint. The hike takes about 30-45 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The trail can be steep in places, but the views along the way are beautiful.
