From Akureyri, head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for about 3.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the sign for Naustaborgir, which will lead you to Route 82. Turn left onto Route 82 and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Naustaborgir. There is a parking area available near the trailhead.
