If you're driving from Akureyri city center, head east on Hafnarstræti toward Bókhlöðustígur. Continue onto Brekkugata which will lead you out of the city. Follow the signs for Route 1 (the Ring Road) and merge onto it. After approximately 5 km, take the exit toward Vaðlaskógur. Continue on Vaðlaskógur road for about 1 km, and you will see the entrance to Forest Lagoon on your right. Parking is available on-site, and there is no additional cost for parking.

To reach Forest Lagoon via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Akureyri's main bus terminal. Bus routes may vary, so check the local schedules for current routes heading toward Vaðlaskógur. One option is to take bus number 10 towards Vaðlaskógur. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the stop closest to Forest Lagoon, it's a short walk (approximately 500 meters) to the entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as they may not run frequently.
