If you are in the city center of Akureyri, start at the Akureyri Art Museum located at Hafnarstræti 14. From the museum, head east on Hafnarstræti towards the main road (Austurstræti). Once you reach Austurstræti, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Eyrarlandsveg. Turn right onto Eyrarlandsveg. After walking for about 10 minutes, you will see Akureyrarkirkja (the church) on your right, situated on a hill with a distinctive white tower.

To reach Akureyrarkirkja using public transport, find the nearest bus stop that services the local routes. You can take Bus Line 1 from the Akureyri bus terminal. The bus will take you along Eyrarlandsveg. Make sure to get off at the stop closest to the church, which is typically labeled 'Akureyrarkirkja.' From the bus stop, walk a short distance up the path leading to the church, which is located on a hill with its iconic architecture.
