    If you are near the Akureyri city center, start at the Akureyri Art Museum located on Hafnarstræti. From the museum, head south on Hafnarstræti street. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters, passing the local shops and cafes on your right. After about 10 minutes, you will reach Akureyri Backpackers, which is located at Hafnarstræti 98. Look for a building that has a welcoming sign and a bar area.

    If you are coming from the Akureyri Bus Station, exit the station and head to the nearest bus stop, which is about a 5-minute walk south on Aðalstræti. You can catch a local bus that goes towards the city center. Get off at the 'Hafnarstræti' stop. From there, walk just a minute or two south down Hafnarstræti, and you will find Akureyri Backpackers at Hafnarstræti 98.
