Walking
From the center of Akureyri (around the Akureyri Church), head east on Hafnarstræti towards the main road, Strandgata. Turn left onto Strandgata and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Brekkugata. Turn right onto Brekkugata and keep walking straight. After about 1 km, you will reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Glerárgötu. Follow Glerárgötu for about 1.5 km, then turn right onto Furuvellir. Continue walking until you reach Furuvellir 17 where the Giant Viking Beer Can is located. The can will be visible from the street.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Akureyri town center and head east on Hafnarstræti towards Strandgata. Turn left onto Strandgata and bike straight until you hit the intersection with Brekkugata. Turn right onto Brekkugata and keep biking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Glerárgötu. Follow Glerárgötu for about 1.5 km. Then turn right onto Furuvellir, and continue for a short distance. The Giant Viking Beer Can will be at Furuvellir 17, on your right.
