From there, you can take a ferry from Ísafjörður to the town of Hesteyri in Hornstrandir. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once in Hesteyri, you can either hike or take a boat further into Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.

    If you are travelling by public transportation, you can take a bus from Reykjavik to Ísafjörður. The bus ride takes approximately 6-7 hours. From Ísafjörður, you can then take the ferry to Hesteyri in Hornstrandir. Once in Hesteyri, you can either hike or take a boat further into Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.
