From the center of Blonduos, start at the Blonduos church (Blönduóskirkja) located on Strandgata. Head northeast on Strandgata, walking towards the river. Continue straight until you reach the T-junction with the main road, Húnavatnshreppur. Turn left and follow the road along the riverbank. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see a small path leading to the right, which is marked with a sign pointing to Portsteinshouse. Follow this path for an additional 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Portsteinshouse.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Blonduos. Start from the town center and cycle northeast along Strandgata towards the river. When you reach the T-junction, turn left onto Húnavatnshreppur. Continue cycling along the riverbank for about 10 minutes until you find the small path on your right leading to Portsteinshouse. The path is suitable for bicycles and will take you directly to your destination in about 5 minutes.

While there is no direct public transport to Portsteinshouse, you can take a local bus from the Blonduos bus station. Take the bus heading towards the nearby town of Hvammstangi. Inform the bus driver that you would like to get off at the nearest stop to Portsteinshouse, which is approximately 5 kilometers away.
