To reach Reykjavik Harbour from Borgarfjörður by car, start by getting onto Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading south. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 49. Take the exit for Route 49 towards Reykjavik. Follow Route 49 for about 10 kilometers, then merge onto Route 41 towards the city center. As you approach Reykjavik, keep following signs for the city center. Once you reach the city, follow the signs for Eyjarslóð, where the harbour is located at Eyjarslóð 9, 101 Reykjavík. Keep in mind that parking may incur additional costs in the city.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Borgarnes to Reykjavik. Start by finding the local bus service at Borgarnes bus terminal. Buses run regularly to Reykjavik and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Reykjavik bus terminal (BSÍ), you can take a local bus or walk to Reykjavik Harbour. To reach the harbour, you can take bus number 1 towards 'Hlemmur' and get off at 'Hafnarstræti'. From there, it is a short walk to Eyjarslóð 9. Please check the local bus schedules for exact times and costs, as tickets usually range from 1,000 to 2,000 ISK per person.

For a more direct option, consider taking a taxi from Borgarfjörður to Reykjavik Harbour. Taxis can be booked in advance or found at designated taxi stands in Borgarnes.
