To reach Akranesviti by car from any location in Borgarfjörður, head towards Route 1 (the Ring Road). Take Route 1 south towards Reykjavik. After about 40 km, take the exit for Route 51 towards Akranes. Follow Route 51 for about 10 km, then merge onto Route 54 towards Akranes. Continue on this road until you reach Breiðargata in Akranes. Look for the coordinates 8W54+G2M, and you will find the lighthouse there. Parking is available near the lighthouse.

Once you arrive in Akranes, you can walk to Akranesviti, which is located at Breiðargata. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
