Getting There

    From Borgarfjörður, head southeast on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Reykjavík. Continue for approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) until you reach the outskirts of Reykjavík. Take the exit for Route 49 (Borgarvegur) towards Kópavogur. Follow Route 49 until you reach the roundabout at Árbæjarlind. Take the second exit onto Kistuhylur.
