If you're traveling by car, start in the town of Borgarnes. Head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards the town of Reykholt. After approximately 35 km, take the exit onto Route 518 towards Húsafell. Continue on Route 518 for about 10 km, then take a left turn onto Route 52. Drive for another 15 km, keeping an eye out for the signs indicating Nýifoss. The waterfall is located just a short walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Nýifoss via public transportation, first take a bus from Borgarnes to Reykholt using the Strætó bus service. Buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule ahead of time. Upon arrival in Reykholt, you will need to arrange a taxi or local shuttle service to get to Nýifoss, as public transport does not reach the waterfall directly.
