Walking
From the center of Borgarnes, head towards the Borgarnes Bus Station. Once at the station, look for the bus stop where you can catch a bus to Reykjavík. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, you will be at the main bus terminal. From there, walk towards the city center, following signs to Arnarhóll. Continue straight on the main street (Austurstræti) until you reach the intersection with Lækjargata, then turn left. Ingólfur Arnarson will be on your right at the top of the grass verge near the waterfront.

Start at Borgarnes and make your way to the Borgarnes Bus Station. Take the bus to Reykjavík, which runs frequently throughout the day. Upon arriving at the central bus terminal in Reykjavík, transfer to a local bus (Bus Number 1 or 2) that heads towards Miðborg. Get off at the 'Hlemmur' stop, and from there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Arnarhóll. Exit the bus and head south on Lækjargata, turn right onto Austurstræti, and continue until you see the Ingólfur Arnarson sculpture at the top of the grass verge.
