From the center of Dalvik, head towards the Dalvik harbor area. Walk along the main road (Skaftahlíð) heading northeast. Continue until you reach the junction with Route 1 (the Ring Road). Cross the road carefully and continue walking along Route 1 toward Ólafsfjörður. The walk is approximately 12 kilometers and will take around 2.5 to 3 hours.
