Walking
Starting from the center of Egilsstadir, head north on Aðalstræti street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Norðurljósavegur. Turn left onto Norðurljósavegur and continue for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs for Laufskógar 1. Keep walking until you reach the East Iceland Heritage Museum, which will be on your right.

From the Egilsstadir bus station, board the bus heading towards Seyðisfjörður. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Laufskógar 1. The journey should take approximately 10 minutes. Once you get off the bus, the East Iceland Heritage Museum will be a short walk away, visible from the bus stop.
