From Reykjavík, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the town of Borgarnes. Once in Borgarnes, take Route 68 heading towards Blönduós. After approximately 70 km, turn onto Route 1 again heading east. Look for signs for Víðidalstunga and Kolugljúfur Canyon. The final destination is at the coordinates 65.3333817, -20.5712958. There is no entrance fee for the canyon.
