From Reykjavik, head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Mosfellsbær. Continue on Route 1 for about 15 km (approximately 15 minutes). Take the exit for Route 36 towards Mosfellsbær. Follow Route 36 for about 5 km until you reach the town of Mosfellsbær. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Helgufoss. You can park your car near the area, but please be mindful of local parking regulations. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Reykjavik to Mosfellsbær. You can catch Bus 15 from the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavik. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
