Start from the center of Grindavik, ideally near the main square and tourist information center. Head southwest on Aðalgata street, continuing straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Suðurgata. Follow Suðurgata until you reach the end of the street, where it merges into Garðavegur road. Continue walking along Garðavegur for approximately 4.5 kilometers. You will pass by beautiful coastal views. As you approach Garður, keep an eye out for the lighthouse which will be visible from a distance. Once you arrive in Garður, look for the Garður Old Lighthouse located near the coastline at the coordinates 38M4+5FV, 251 Garður.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the center of Grindavik. Head southwest on Aðalgata street and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Suðurgata. Once on Suðurgata, you can ride safely along the side of the road. Follow Suðurgata until it turns into Garðavegur road, where you will continue for approximately 4.5 kilometers. Enjoy the scenic ride along the coastline. As you approach Garður, the lighthouse will come into view. Once in Garður, park your bicycle nearby and walk to the Garður Old Lighthouse at the coordinates 38M4+5FV, 251 Garður.

From Grindavik, you can take a bus towards Garður. Check the local bus schedule for the latest times and routes. Board the bus that heads towards Garður. The ride should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Garður, disembark at the nearest bus stop. From there, walk towards the coastline where you will see the Garður Old Lighthouse.
