Walking
From the center of Grindavik, start at the main intersection where the supermarket 'Krónan' is located. Head south on Aðalstræti, walking towards the coast. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. At this fork, keep left, following the signs towards the beach area. You'll pass several local houses and see beautiful views of the sea. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will come to a small parking area. Sandvík is just beyond this area, accessible by walking down a path leading directly to the beach.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in Grindavik. Start from the main square and cycle south along Aðalstræti. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the fork in the road. Take the left path and continue cycling towards the beach. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you reach the parking area, you can lock your bike and walk down the path to Sandvík beach.

You may need to ask the driver to let you off near the closest stop to Sandvík, as there may not be a direct stop.
