Car
If you're driving from the center of Húsavík, start by heading south on Aðalgata street towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Þjóðvegur 1 (Route 1). Continue on Route 1 for approximately 10 km. Look for the sign for Theistareykir Rd and turn left. Follow Theistareykir Rd for about 3 km until you reach the Husavik Panoramic View at coordinates 66.0159935, -17.2569969. There is parking available at the view.
Public Transportation
To reach Husavik Panoramic View using public transportation, you can take a local bus from the Húsavík bus terminal. Check the local bus schedule for Route 1, which heads towards Akureyri. You will need to get off at the stop closest to Theistareykir Rd. From there, it is approximately a 3 km walk along Theistareykir Rd to reach the panoramic view. Ensure you check the bus times for your return trip, as services may be limited.
Walking
If you're already in Húsavík and prefer to walk, start at the Húsavík harbor and head south towards Aðalgata. Continue on Aðalgata until you reach Þjóðvegur 1 (Route 1). From there, walk along Route 1 for about 10 km towards Theistareykir Rd. Once you reach Theistareykir Rd, turn left and walk about 3 km to the panoramic view. This route will take approximately 2-3 hours one way, so plan accordingly.
