From Hengifoss Waterfall, head back to Road 1 (the Ring Road) and turn left towards Egilsstaðir. Continue on Road 1 for approximately 13 km. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Stóridalur. Take the exit onto J253 towards Stóridalur. Follow J253 for about 5 km until you reach the location marked as J253+RJ, 861 Stóridalur, which is the Big Puffin.
