Getting There

    From Hengifoss Waterfall, head back to the main road (Route 1). Take Route 1 south towards Egilsstaðir. After about 5 km, take the exit for Route 93 towards Breiðdalur. Continue on Route 93 for about 35 km. Look for the signs for Háifoss, which will lead you onto a gravel road (Vesturvegur). Follow this road for approximately 9 km, and you will arrive at the Háifoss parking area. The waterfall is a short hike from the parking area.

    Public transport options are limited in this rural area. However, you can take a bus from Egilsstaðir to the nearest drop-off point, which is along Route 93.
