From Hella, take Route 26 heading northeast until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue on Route 1 for about 30 km until you reach Route 32. Turn left onto Route 32 and follow it until you reach the junction with Route 26. From here, take Route 26 north until you reach the road leading to Landmannalaugar. Please note that the road conditions can vary, and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to rough terrain. Follow the signs to Bláhnjúkur after entering the Landmannalaugar area. The drive may take around 2-3 hours depending on your starting point and road conditions.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, you can catch a bus from Reykjavik to Hella or Selfoss. From there, you will need to book a connecting bus to Landmannalaugar, which operates during the summer months. Hiking
