If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major road in the Highlands region, Route 1 (the Ring Road). Take Route 1 towards Akureyri. After approximately 60 kilometers, you will reach the junction with Route 35. Turn onto Route 35, and continue driving for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 32. Turn onto Route 32 and follow it for approximately 15 kilometers. You will then see a sign for Hrafnabjargafoss. Follow the signs for an additional 10 kilometers to reach the waterfall. Be aware that some roads in the Highlands may be gravel and require a 4x4 vehicle.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Akureyri operated by Strætó. From Akureyri, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to Hrafnabjargafoss, as public transport does not reach the waterfall directly.
