Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car and are already in Húsavík, head south on Route 85 which will take you directly towards the Husavik viewpoint parking. Continue for about 3.5 kilometers until you reach the viewpoint. Look for a sign indicating 'Husavik Viewpoint' as you approach the area. The parking lot is located right by the viewpoint and is free of charge.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus schedule as there may be limited service to the viewpoint. You can take a local bus from Húsavík town center toward the Husavik viewpoint. Make sure to confirm the bus routes ahead of time, as they may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, it will require a short walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) to reach the viewpoint parking.

• Walking

  If you are already in the town of Húsavík and prefer to walk, you can make your way to the viewpoint by heading south on the main road, Route 85. It is about a 4 km walk that should take approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour. Walking is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Icelandic scenery, but make sure you wear appropriate footwear and clothing as the weather can change quickly.
