Walking
Start from the Husavik Harbour. Head east along the waterfront, following the path towards the main road (Hafnarstígur). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Ring Road (Route 1). Once there, take a left onto Route 1. Walk for about 5 kilometers until you see the sign for Ásbyrgi on your right. Follow the trail marked for Ásbyrgi, which will lead you into the beautiful canyon.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, begin your ride from Husavik town center. Head east towards the Husavik Harbour, then continue on the coastal road until you reach Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and cycle for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Ásbyrgi on your right-hand side. Follow the signs leading into the canyon, and enjoy the scenic ride.
Public Bus
From Husavik, check the local bus schedule at the Husavik bus station. Board a bus heading towards Ásbyrgi or Dettifoss. Ensure that you confirm with the driver that they will stop at Ásbyrgi. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ásbyrgi stop, follow the signs leading into the canyon.
