If you're driving from the center of Hveragerði, head east on Brattahlíð street towards the outskirts of town. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 1 (the Ring Road). Turn left onto Route 1 and follow it for approximately 4 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Reykjafoss Waterfall as you approach the area. The parking lot is located near the waterfall, but be aware that it may be a gravel lot, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended if the weather is inclement.

To reach Reykjafoss Waterfall via public transportation, start from the Hveragerði bus stop. You can take a bus towards Selfoss. Once you arrive at the Selfoss bus terminal, you will need to transfer to a local bus that heads towards the Reykjadalur hiking area. Confirm the bus schedule in advance as it may not run frequently. After getting off at the designated stop, it’s about a 20-minute walk to the waterfall. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and check the weather before you go.
