From Kerlingarfjöll, head east on Road 35 (Þjóðvegur 1) towards Haukadalur. Continue for about 20 km until you reach the intersection with Route 30. Turn left onto Route 30 and follow it for approximately 15 km. Then, take a right onto Route 31, which is signposted for Barnafoss. Follow Route 31 for about 10 km until you reach Barnafoss. There is a parking area available near the waterfall.

If you are using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from Kerlingarfjöll to the nearest town with service to Barnafoss, which is likely Húsafell. Check the local bus schedules for routes to Húsafell. Once in Húsafell, you may need to arrange for a taxi or a shuttle service to Barnafoss, as public transport directly to the waterfall may not be available.
